My baby has Arrived! Birth Story
So I had a pretty good pregnancy other than a few little scares with genetic issues but that got sorted out. But.... I had one big issue. My baby decided she wasn’t going to flip. So at 36weeks my doctor said either we can manually flip her or we can just wait until 39 weeks and see if she flips on her own or take her by c-section. My original plan was to have her vaginally.... obviously that wasn’t in my babies to-do list lol. So I decided since my placenta was in the front and I didn’t wanna risk having an emergency c-section, I would just wait it out until 39 weeks and schedule a planned CS. A week before the big day they checked to see if she had flipped. Nope. So they said they would check right before the procedure. So the big day arrives! 06/19/18! We get to the hospital at 5:30am. We get checked in and they start preparing me. Then they notice that my blood pressure is getting a little too high for comfort. Fun! So they rush to do blood work on me and finally decided that the spinal should lower my blood pressure during the surgery so they continue. At 6:45 I felt my first ever contraction! My body knew it was ready to have this baby! 7:33 they wheeled me into the OR, did my spinal, my SO was allowed to come back once I was prepped and they began! God I was so nervous! I started getting the nervous shakes, it was so bad! At 7:58am my precious little girl came into this world!
I had my SO go with her to the nursery as they cleaned me up. I was brought to recovery at 8:26 and got to finally hold and start breastfeeding at 9am!! My doctors did wonderful and I couldn’t be more happy with my C-section even if I didn’t want it. Here are a few pictures for everyone to enjoy! Now my baby is 11 days old! Welcome Clara Lynn! Thank you everyone in advance and hope you enjoy my new beautiful family!
