On June 8th I was working and feeling a lot of wetness so I went to the OB department that night. They did a swab to check if my water broke. The swab came back positive. But since I wasn’t contracting they decided to keep me over night to see if my labor would progress on its own. Nothing happened. So the on call doctor let me go home on the 9th. I had a doctor appointment on the 11th. Fast forward to then. I get to the doctors at 10:30 they do another swab and a culture test to see if my water really did break. (It was slowly leaking) I went home and they called me back at 3pm telling me to come in to be induced that my test came back positive again! So me and my husband are scrambling to get everything ready. I wasn’t originally suppose to be induced till the 19th of June. I get to the hospital and get hooked up to all the monitors and iv. They start me on pitocin. My contractions start coming pretty good. The pain isn’t too bad. By 9pm I was a 6 cm. I started out as a 2 1/2-3 cm I went ahead and got my epidural. My best friend came and took pictures for me and my husband since this is our last baby! By 12am I was at a 10cm the doctor came in and had me do a few practice pushes. Then came the real ones. I felt him move down and come out! It didn’t hurt but there was a ton of pressure!! My third and finally boy was born on June 12th 2018 at 12:19 am weighing 7 pounds and 3 ounces! With so much hair!! I am in complete awe! He was born at 38 weeks and 2 days! Colson Lee Boyer 💙💙
