Olive has had a ROUGH WEEK
So last week we found out she had a double ear infection. It was so bad that she couldn’t walk straight and would even fall while she was sitting 😖
She was put on antibiotics and we figured all was well.
A couple of days pass after our immediate care visit, and she falls in the kitchen. She falls HARD in the kitchen. She banged her poor head on a kitchen drawer RIGHT on her nose.

My sister’s boyfriend is a navy medic (or something) and I was sending him videos to show all of the angles to see if he could tell if it was broken or anything. His best recommendation (and the doctor agreed) was to wait until the swelling went down before seeing a doctor. She didn’t black out or anything, but there was a lot of sad Olive and sad mama.
The next day she was pulling her ears and her head, so I gave her Tylenol. She started crying when I gave it to her and she choked on it. I was holding her and she suddenly went limp, stoped responding, stopped moving, stopped breathing. It was the scariest and one of the most traumatic things I have ever seen. I called 911 as it was happening and I couldn’t think of my address. While I was crying in the phone Olive started crying and the operator told me that the cry is a sign that she is perfectly okay but they would come to check her out if needed. I was still panicked and pretty much hung up the phone to kiss and hug Olive and make sure everything was okay.
I took her back to immediate care the next day to get X-rays of her nose and to talk about what happened the night before. The doctor said a lot of babies experience what happened and I handled everything exactly how she would have. That was super reassuring.
Today Olive seems to be back to 100% (except a bruise on her nose and still tugging her ears).

I took her to an indoor playground before the X-rays because of the hard time she has been having. She LOVED every minute of it!! Normally she is afraid of climbing jungle gyms and playing on anything other than a swing, but she must’ve felt comfortable in this setting because she was EVERYWHERE!

Anyway. Thanks for reading this if you did! Be safe out there and make sure to hug your babies super tight and let them snuggle when they need snuggles 💖
