What to pack for road trip/beach vacation?

Question

We will be taking a 11 hour road trip and will be at the beach for 6 days. Our girls are 4 years old and 13 months. What would be your must haves to pack? Wanting to make sure I am not forgetting anything or missing a “must have” that I didn’t even think about.

bathing suits (I like the rash guards to protect from sun)
Buckets and shovels fo digging in the sand
A ball (a blow-up beach ball could go in the water too)
Something for shade, like a umbrella
A large insulated water bottle/cooler (and then small cups for everyone)
Sooooo much sun screen! 
Maybe some pictures books about the ocean? They wouldn't be great for at the beach unless you're ok with risking them getting wet, but they'd be exciting for breakfast time, or the end of the day when you're winding down for bed.
For the car ride part, I'd have some stories on tape, and a couple special new things especially for the 4year old. Like magnetic blocks (tegu is a cool brand), or new crayons for coloring (and he own case to store it all in).

Baby powder to help get sand off baby's skin - in case there isn't a shower near by. 
All the sunblock ever. - I'm sure you've got that already. I do both spray on and lotion.
Water to guzzle.
Hats for everyone! 
Umbrella or tent for shade.
Extra beach towel or picnic blanket. 
Beach chair - not a must have, but they are nice. 
Rash guard for the little one. 
Sarong, which can be used as a child blanket or cover. 
Snacks!!! 
I think that's it, as far as what I typically bring with us to the beach.
