Should I pee before and after sex or just after to help prevent uti's?

You don't necessarily have to before but definitely afterwards. I get UTIs frequently but I stopped getting them as much when I started peeing right after sex every single time. by the way, if you do get one, you'll need to go to the doctor for antibiotics. cranberry juice does not make them go away and neither do any of the other home remedies. the infection is caused by bacteria. sometimes your body can fight it off by itself, but most of the time you'll need antibiotics. don't rely on home remedies because you could end up with a bladder or kidney infection (because the infection will spread if left untreated).

I don’t go before but I pee as soon as we are done and I haven’t had a UTI yet. Don’t shower after though I hear that you can get them easier if you do

I used to have chronic UTI’s. Always drink plenty of water, take cranberry supplements, pee after sex, and I often times wipe myself with a baby wipe after sex just for extra clean up

I only pee after. I’ve had two uti’s, one was like three years ago and the other was last year right before finding out I was pregnant. Both were gone within 3 days just from drinking lots of water/cranberry juice and cutting out caffeine and citrus & not using fragrance body soap on my lady bits. Cutting the drinks and soap lasted for a week just to be sure it was actually gone.

I always pee before and after, I've always gotten recurrent utis. But if recurrent utis aren't a thing for you then just after will do. Wipe in the right direction too!
