Sex is just as much an emotional act as it is a physical act. If you are flirting online with someone, you are one step away from the physical. Emotional cheating is cheating. Just my humble opinion. I've had several ex's and/or aquantances try to stir up some online flirting. I shut it down fast, usually by bringing my wife up during the conversation. I love her, even when we aren't on the best of terms. My energy is better spent trying to fix things.

For me personally, yes, this is not acceptable. I dont even check guys out or look at pictures of partially clothed guys on social media while im in my current relationship. It feels wrong to me. Disrespectful to him. 
I do, however, continue to watch porn, sometimes w guys in it (i prefer leabian porn generally), & continue to read porn w heterosexual & homosexual couples of both sexes. And i continue to check out women, both with him and alone. Those things he knows about and neither of us have a problem with. I like to watch him flirt with girls we both like, and sometimes we sleep with them together, if everyone is agreeable of course. 
He wouldnt flirt with girls online or without me, bc he feels that that is disrespectful, too. We're generally on the same page w all that lol.

What happens if you ever meet that person wouldn't you do what you guys were talking about that's emotional cheating and sometimes that's hurts more then the sexual part

Your question leaves no space for understanding the reasons behind the answers. It seems to be focused on justifying a desire to do it or proof that it is. Mind you that is my take just from the question and possible answers. I could be completely wrong and it would not be the first time.
