Basically we bought a puppy from the breeder. The contract says no refunds and is slightly hazy in matters of whether we can give the dog to someone else. The puppy we received has serious behavioral and mental issues, and is very violent. This is nothing like the breeder described or promised us (a gentle, loving family dog). We did some extensive digging because it was suspicious and found she has a history of dogs with problems, some with huge health problems. She would basically disappear on the customer. She is also breeding so many dogs it is turning into a puppy mill.

We feel scammed at this point. She agrees to take back the puppy, who is still of age to sell, and we will lose all the money we paid. We do not want to risk another dog from her so asking or an exchange is not something we want to do. Do we have any rights or did we just screw ourselves over? I’m so mad and regret not trusting my instincts.
