My little ones belly is peeling?!

I need some advice.
First time Mom, we were gifted Huggies and Pampers. I used pampers sensitive the first week, yesterday we switched to Huggies and he woke up with his skin on his tummy peeling!! Any advice on what I can do... We have stopped using Huggies and gone back to sensitive!

My son had the same thing, we read not to use lotion for the first month. We haven’t put anything on it and he’s almost a month old and it’s all gone.

Yep like others said, no lotions just let the skin be. Let it shed on its own :)

my little one looks the same...is just the baby's old skin from the womb the needs to shed....I use baby oil after I wash him up. is working for me so far.

My daughters did that. I freaked out because I didn’t remember my first doing that. Her stomach cleared up after 3 days? Now her feet and hands are peeling and flaking.

I love aquaphor for this stuff to help protect, but it is totally normal! Just losing all the skin and layers that were protecting them in  the uterus.

Totally normal. My baby has the same dry skin. My pediatrician said we could put Vaseline on it if we wanted, but wasn’t necessary.

the peeling/dryness is normal on newborns. i was told by my Dr. not to put any lotions on baby it'll eventually go to normal.

It’s normal 😊 you can use gentle baby lotion to help.
