He wants to know when I’m getting married

A guy I dated for a few months last spring-has recently got in touch with me. He text or FaceTime me every few weeks. He has usually been drinking when he does this. He keeps asking me when I’m getting married 👰. Why is he asking me that? He wasn’t ready for a relationship when we dated. We did remain in contact for a few months after. I have no issue with him. I always felt like we could have had something special.
