Name Popularity

So our Baby Girl doesn't have a name yet. I have a name that I LOVE but it is the #9 most popular name nationally and in my state. The name is Evelyn, which is a classic and has lots of nickname potential. I checked and there were only 210 Evelyns born in my state last year. The most popular name only had like 453 babies. I looked up names from when I was born and there were over 1200 each of the two most popular names born in my state. So even "very popular" names are happening less and less frequently.

Does popularity automatically exclude a name for you? Do you have a popular name? How did it make you feel?
