22 year old freshman?

I’m going to college for the first time and I feel a little insecure about going this late. My abusive husband didn’t let me go to college. Words of encouragement?

After 19 people seem to care less about your age! 22 really isn’t that bad anyways! Lots of people take breaks between high school and college. My mom got her degree at 38! You’ve got this, good luck!

I went to university when I was 26... luckily there were quite a few mature students which was great because we all stuck
Together... best experience ever and made great friends old and young, there was a good mixture on the course... there was a guy in his 70s in my class, so believe me you are never too old

i am a teacher  and my neighbor(door neighbor) graduated at 53 with her bachelors in mathematics.. when i asked her why she did it so late(curiosity;i see her as a mother figure) she said my ex husband said i couldn't...so of course not..your super young

There are plenty of people much older than 22 who are going to college. You are bettering yourself and your future. There is no reason to be ashamed or down about that.

I am a 22 freshman too and I do feel odd about it as well, I did part time last year, but I didn't meet the credit number to become a sophomore.
