My husband is in the army, we have two daughters and I currently do not work but I am in school full time. My family seems to think that we are just rolling in money. We absolutely are not. We live comfortably with strict budgeting. Today both my mother and my older sister have texted me that they are broke both having less than $15 in their accounts. I have a difficult time understanding this. They both are single and only support themselves. And both make good money. I am so tired of them calling or texting me every time they need money claiming they have no money to eat, or this or that. Yet one of them just took a trip to Vegas less than a month ago, and the other going to concerts last week. I always feel guilty when they do this because they will text me or call me with their sob stories every time until I offer to loan them money. And they get mad if I can’t loan them money. But we have 4 mouths to feed and our own bills to pay on one income. And if I try to tell them to be more responsible with money, or budget better, or grocery shop instead of eating out all the time they get upset with me. Basically I just needed to vent really, but any advice on dealing with them might help as well.
