Tdap shot 6 years ago, am I still good?

If I got my Tdap shot about 6 years ago before my niece was born and I’m pregnant now, do I need to get another one or am I still good? How long does it last? 🤔💉

Everytime you get pregnant you have to get the shot again.

I was told it wouldn’t matter if you got it last year or 5 years ago, they give you the shot at so many weeks pregnant so you can help pass on the immunization to your growing baby.

They will give you another, it’s not for you so much as it’s for baby’s immunity.

I had mine 7 years ago when I started teaching and got it again last week at my 30 week appointment.

Usually you need to have it redone every 10 years, but since you’re at 6 years and pregnant you’d need it now.
