Supply: How much before going back to work?

My baby is almost 5 weeks old and I will be returning to work soon... she is a breastfeed baby. I have been pumping for a few weeks now.  How many bags or ounces should I have in my supply before going back to work? I have several bags frozen already but I’m nervous it may not enough.

I have 250oz in storage. I am also severely paranoid about not being able to pump enough at work. I say this because my boss is not very supportive or accepting of me pumping, he is basically only dealing with it because it is the law here.

You really only need one day’s amount (1-1.5 oz per hour you are gone). You will need to have milk for the first day then you will pump while at work for the next day. But many people like to have a little extra stored as backup.

I am a worrier so I always wanted 2 full days (about 60 ounces for my little piggy) stored. That way I can always bring one days supply to daycare and have the next days always in storage. It just makes me feel better to have extra in storage in case something comes up at work and I dont get as much pumped as normal

How many oz are you able to pump a day? My baby is ebf right now and I’m pumping twice a day to store. I go back to work in a month.

I just pumped an extra days worth.  I have three four oz bottles a day for her.  She doesn’t do frozen so I pumped an extra four oz for three days then just replace it with the milk I pumped at work.
