I’m confused...

So I’m five days late (this has happened only one other time, 2 days late). Around 1 this morning I had some light pink/red spotting. Around 9am it’s now very light, brown discharge. Only symptoms I have are sore boobs off and on and light nausea. Just took a test and it’s negative... If I were pregnant wouldn’t the test be positive by now???
