We have 22 frozen embryos but have to do PGD testing on them and are also going to do PGS since we have to get them biopsied anyway. 15 are good and 7 are fair quality at time of freezing. How many should we test?? It’s $520 per embryo and insurance will pay for some of it but it seems excessive to test all of them but if we don’t we would have to pay the $6000 in set up fees a second time to test the rest of the batch if first batch yielded lots of abnormalities so we need to test all at once. We are 27/32 so not in the advanced age category so hopefully PGS won’t cut our numbers too drastically but also 25% for PGD should be abnormal but still not sure what the “right” choice is here. Testing all 22 seems excessive 🤷🏻‍♀️
