IUI and Clomid Experience?

Hi ladies. 
Yesterday we visited our fertility doctor to discuss our fertility plan. My husband has Retrograde ejaculation (sperm goes into the bladder upon ejaculation instead of outward) due to a surgery he had when he was going through cancer treatment. We’ve tried all the home remedies for the last year and nothing has worked. I’m actually 6dpo today but I’m not holding my breath. 
Anyway, we are having a urinalysis done to see how much sperm he is producing and then we will be moving forward with IUI. 
The doctor recommends medicated IUI with Clomid. I have a very regular 28 day cycle and had all the testing done. Doctor says all my numbers and egg reserve looks good. 
My question is... how is Clomid? And what were your experiences with Clomid and IUI? I’d love to hear stories. 
Did you do IUI based on male infertility? How many cycles until you got pregnant? 
I’m very nervous about this whole thing. I’d love to hear about what I can expect.

clomid made me crazy. I went with the generic brand, but I can't think of the name. as for iui....we got lucky. it worked the first time and I'm 2 weeks away from holding my little dude. sending lots of love and luck your way!!

I’ve never had an IUI (yet) but I just did my first round of clomid this last Tuesday through Saturday with no side effects to speak of! I was pretty anxious about it.

We did IUI based on my husbands infertility we did none medicated aside from a trigger shot. I’m 5 weeks pregnant after our 3rd IUI. They did a lot of ultrasounds one each time we went and one fire they did the IUI to make sure the fed was about to release or had released. I suggest advocating for ultrasounds and a trigger if it’s needed. Good luck ✨♥️

I’m 4 days past my first cycle of IUI. Did Clomid and trigger shot, currently doing daily injections of Crinone (progesterone). We have MFI, biggest issue is 2% morphology. I have absolutely no fertility “issues” for lack of a better word... no blockages, no problem ovulating on my own each month. I was nervous about the Clomid, thinking too many follicles would mature... we only had one 20mm follicle at the time of injection, so that definitely didn’t turn out to be an issue. I was actually slightly disappointed that there weren’t at least two. But honestly, I haven’t had any side effects, the trigger shot was nothing... other than some leakage the progesterone hasn’t been a problem either. The IUI procedure was a breeze, just some slight cramping the day of, but that could have possibly been ovulation. But it’s been relatively easy so far. If this doesn’t work we’re moving straight to IVF, which is a whole different ball game 😕

I’m currently on my second cycle with clomid iui and progesterone due to unexplained infertility. It could possibly be due to my husbands count, it’s low but not that low. I have one child from a precious relationship. Iui is painless and a great way to conceive. I would definitely try the clomid and see if it works for you! Good luck
