It was about 8 months after our first date. I wanted him to say it first. I initiated everything in my first relationship. So i wanted it to be the other way around this time. It was tough waiting for him to say it, but so worth the wait. After he said he loved me, he told me that he waited so long to say it because he wanted our relationship to be different from his past relationships. He wanted to really mean it. He was so nervous. It was so sweet.

My husband and I were doing a relay for life with my college roommates...we'd been dating for like 3 months. He and I were sitting, resting while my friends were doing laps and we were talking about something stupid. I made a comment and he said "that's why I love you"...I looked at him and immediately said "you can take it back!" He said he didn't want to and I knew I already felt it too so I told him I loved him too. It was early on but so perfectly us!
