my daughter's dad and I split right before she turned 2, he was abusive and a drug addict.

after our split, I got very serious about a man and she loved him and he loved her. Sadly we lost him suddenly to a car accident when she was 5 . 5 months after he passed she lost her dad. she was young but it was hard on her, as he had just really started to be in her life again.

she is now 8 and I have been with my hubby for 2 years.

there has been some issues (thanks to my dad) with her understanding adoption. but after a few talks she says she is ready to ask my hubby to adopt her. he wants to so badly but due to the other issues that came up he wants it to be in her time.

how can I make this super special? I need ideas!!
