POST IUI: Your Reproductive Endocrinologist

Da

Just wondering if after your IUI and/or your results (mainly negative, if that’s what unfortunately happened), if your RE personally called you?

Basically my dr’s office has a few RE’s (and a few offices around the county). They all move around on different days. As it happens, the 2 days I had my IUI’s, my RE was in a different office. So I didn’t see him. This was my 1st IUI. He didn’t call afterwards to ask how it went or how I felt, etc. I mean, ok.

I found out on Monday that it didn’t work. I also told the nurse that I had taken numerous tests at home that were BFP. She said that was “weird” and she couldn’t explain it (maybe ovidrel but it was many days after). I figured maybe she’d tell my doctor. REGARDLESS, the IUI didn’t work.

My personal RE has not called to say anything (“I know it’s disappointing, don’t worry we’ll figure it out, try again,” etc., etc.). This kind of bothers me. That I haven’t heard from him after my 1st fertility procedure ever...

What do you ladies think? Is this normal or are your RE’s more involved?

Thanks!! ☺️☺️
