On Monday 7-2-18 i had an appointment with my OB at 10:45. I was 38wks, he sent me over to the hospital to be induced (I have had 5 miscarriages and they were worried about baby being stillborn if I carried further). So the plan was to induce my labor and have a vaginal delivery. At 4pm on monday evening I was given Cervidil to ripen my cervix. On Tuesday morning 7-3-18 at 7am my water was broken and I was started on Pitocin because I was only 2cm dilated. I started having contractions almost immediately, they got up to 2 mins apart and lasted 1 min each. I got an epidural around 4pm because the contractions were no longer bearable. By 6pm Tuesday night I had only dilated to a 5. So they stopped pitocin expecting my body to continue contractions and that I wouldn't have him till Wednesday. That was the wrong assumption to make. around 7pm my babies heart rate spiked and stayed between 180-200 for almost 45 minutes. by 8pm I was taken to the operating room for a c-section. the cord had been wrapped around his neck and arm which was causing the high fetal heart rate and why my contractions were getting me no where. my precious angel was born at 8:09pm weighing

6 pounds 15oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.
