When is too soon for toddler bed?

My husband and I have a 16 month old and just had a new baby.. we haven’t purchased nursery furniture yet because we’re a little tight on money. His family has offered to purchase our crib and my family offered to purchase dresser. Long story short, would it make better sense to just purchase a cheap toddler bed for first son and move his nursery furniture into the new nursery? Just stuck on what we should do.

My son transitioned at 14 months - still sleeps 12 hours a night. Doesn’t get out of bed for naps or sleep. Took exactly 5 days for him to get used to it :)

we put our little girl in a Montessori house floor bed about a couple of months ago & she has been doing great. she gets up every now and them but she understands that it's her bed and that's where she sleeps now

My daughter has been in a full size bed with rails for over a month now. We converted her crib right after her brother was born 4wks ago. All my older 4 kids have been in toddler beds by 18mths. My daughter is doing great she doesn't even try to get up after we lay her down. Even if she cries a little or fusses some nights she still doesn't get out of the bed.

I also have a related question to this. sorry don't want to steal answers but I'm just a bit worried. so my son is 17 months and still in his crib. I'm afraid he's gonna start climbing out soon but my husband and I want to move to a different state by August and i was thinking of switching him to a toddler bed. we live with 2 realtives right now. would it be too much of a change if I switched him to a toddler bed when we move? the changes would be a new bed, a new place, no grandma and grandpa l, and we plan on putting his 2 month old sister in his new room with him since we are only getting a one bedroom. or should I convert to a toddler bed now and get him used to it and train him to stay in it before we move. my concern with that is will he revert back to bad sleeping habits once we move or feel insecure?

How was adjusting to two babies? I’m due in August and I’m curious to know what works for u and what helps and little tricks and all! My boy is 17 months and will be 18 months when she is born. I’m so nervous!

were in the same boat, but our son would be up all. ight playing with anything he could get into in his room.  so no toddler bed for us!!
