Contractions at 34 weeks

So I went to my 34 week app and I mentioned how I was feeling pelvic pain sometimes and they put me under the monitor for 30 minutes and told me I was having contractions already. The dr prescribed me some pills to stop the contractions ,

Have any of you been through a similar scenario? I’m so scared and nervous since I know it’s too early for labor.
