pregnancy induced hypertension

Frances

Ok so here's the thing..... I went into the hospital due to some sever lower back pain that I thought was labor. turns out I wasn't in labor but my blood pressure was sky high. well my hospital kept me for 2 days all while blaming me for not coming in sooner, my symptoms were swollen ankles and a headache I couldn't quite shake and also the high bp which I had no clue it was high. I've always had headaches and thought it was just normal and I know when it's hot out and ur pregnant you can swell. so anyways back to the story they kept me for 2 days gave me 800 mg of bp meds and ran blood test and a 24 hour urine to make sure I didn't have pre eclampsia. well they said all was fine my blood pressure was down and they sent me home. a day and a half later I was up there in hypertensive crises and they thought they would have to deliver me but my hospital doesn't have a nicu. so I was given multiple doses of beta blockers and magnesium on my way to be transfered to a larger hospital. I got to that hospital and was there for 5 days where they ran unessasary test and made me feel like an idiot for asking questions well they said I was fine even tho when they were discharging me I was throwing up and shaking with a migraine. back to present day my blood pressure has been high for a week and at this point they are just guessing at what's going on so I went back to the hospital and they finally put me on bp meds daily to take at home. my question is has anyone else had this happen? does anyone have any clues as to why my doctors want my blood pressure to be 160/105 before I call them when previously they gave the parameters of 150/90? I'm just so confused and am hoping to get some insight , I've been on this blood pressure medicine at home all day today and my blood pressure is not staying down but it's not at stage 2 yet so I havnt called,i do have an appointment tomorrow but any info will help ...... thanks in advance ladies.
