First of all, before everyone flips out about a elective induction, this is my second child. I was successfully induced at 39 weeks (low amniotic fluid) with my first and only had a 10 hour labor from the time contractions started, with just pitocin. My husband has been gone at military training and has been since April. The ONLY way he will be able to actually be present for the birth, he has to have an EXACT date so his CO can get paper work and everything on file for him leaving etc. I am due August 10 and they have picked the date of August 6th. I have a scan at 37 weeks and we will make sure I am progressing and everything is good with baby and if not they will change the date. Needless to say, I am thrilled he will be able to be present. Any other military mommas dealing with similar situations?
