So I had a friend that offered to “help” with my baby shower. Which to me meant that she wasn’t necessarily willing to host (I.e. pay for it and do all the work) but that she wanted to help plan games and favors or whatever. Which I think is very sweet! But no one was offering (even when I hinted) to throw me a baby shower. I haven’t spoken to my mom in years so of course she isn’t. But even my MIL (who I’m pretty close with) didn’t offer, my sister, my best friend of 15 years, NO ONE. So I thought I would just plan and pay for it myself (which I know some people think is tacky but to each their own) - I have a venue picked out and have been pinteresting ideas.

I brought up to my husband that on the invitations I picked out I didn’t have anyone to list as the host. And he was shocked because he just assumed my sister and friend were throwing it. And I explained it and that I was a little bummed. And this sweet man says “babe, you’re my best friend. Let me throw you the shower” and at first I just laughed but he was so serious. I said “you’ll be the only guy there.” And he’s not the least bit bothered. We spent an hour looking at all the ideas I like online. And he really came up with some great ideas too!

I actually really trust his input and I just think it’s the sweetest thing ever. I seriously am so lucky you guys ❤️❤️❤️

PLUS he’s literally my best friend so I’m exited to have him at my shower! People can judge if they want but I think it’s just going to be perfect!
