Is this normal?
Before you ask, I’ve spoken to my doctor. But I’m in a unique position. I had gastric sleeve surgery almost 2 years ago, so along with the stomach pain, I also have gained quite a lot within these last 4 weeks. I’m only 9 weeks... so I’m scared I’ll gain too much.
But that was backstory.
I know fatigue is normal. I know lack of energy is normal. But I keep getting shit from my partner, my parents and my sister, two of which have had children (obviously) and know from first hand experience how tough it is.
Sure I complain, but apparently I’m not justified to stay in bed all day because that’s where I feel my best.
I can’t breathe, I waddle, I feel sick, have heartburn, want to faint, want to sleep, and have no energy to leave the house. I can’t stand up for more than 20 minutes without feeling yuck and according to them I need to get over it.
I can’t get the nutrition I need due to the surgery, which means even if I eat a little extra, I’m forever deficient. And the vitamins and prenatals only make me feel worse.
Is there anybody out there who understands?
My doctor just says I’ll have a different pregnancy, slightly tougher than regular people because of this. It’s an understatement. I’ve had two days in 5 weeks where I’ve felt good. I hate being pregnant and I feel so guilty for saying it :(
