Starting baby aspirin at 9 weeks pregnant?

Has anyone had to take baby aspirin after you were part way through your first trimester? I have elevated platelets so the doctor wants me to start taking it. I know it’s commonly used in pregnancy but I’m worried that since I’m already 9 weeks something might happen.

I started it at 12 weeks because I have Factor V leiden. Only been 6 days but so far I can't tell a difference. They wouldn't recommend it unless the benefits outweighed the risk.

I started it a week ago, I have had hypertension for the past year. So far so good!
