Boyfriend thinks I'm snooping 😑[rant]

Every time I'm holding my boyfriend's cell phone and he has a new message from someone we both know, I usually say "____ texted you and wants to know if you're still on for drinks later" or just read it to him. If I don't know them I usually ignore it. I usually have his phone when we're in the car or when we're out. But lately he keeps asking me why I'm "going through all of his texts." I was just trying to be helpful, like today when I was holding his phone while he played basketball and he got a text. If I see a girl name I don't recognize I always ask him who it is out of curiosity. I don't get why he thinks I'm intentionally going through his texts. Men. 😑
