I feel its a bit feminine or something? Starting to like Jude (but sounds too much like DUDE) :-)

I’ve never liked Julian on the fact it feels so feminine since it has “jewel” in it. But then again I prefer very masculine names for boys. I like Jude though! I definitely don’t think of dude 😂

It’s hard for me to vote so I’ll comment. I watch a Julian who is 3 years old with long blonde curly hair. He is smart and so cute. While my personal opinion about the name is quite different. A) doesn’t feel strong for a man. B) I picture this name more common with other ethnic groups I think because my brothers played soccer with some Hispanic background Julian’s. (I’m not making a racial statement/judgement. It’s just my opinion.) C) It’s too similar to Julia, Julianne/Julienne. So would I use it? No. But my Julian could sure win others over who are considering the name. They call him J man for short;)

Look I don’t like it. But that’s because my husband wanted to name our son Julian or Julius and both his mother and my mum are Julie! So I felt he nickname Jules and just being so close would be horrible for him growing up lol 
As a name on its own though it’s nice :)
