Ladies pls help I don’t know what to do

So we live in Australia. We have 5 kids. My partner loves to drink and he’s always drinking. I stay at home with the kids.

We had a funeral a year ago which we attended that was in the rural bush basically at a home with just a shed of a mate of ours when we were both young. Anyway fast forward to yesterday and it was the head stone reveal for his grave site.

As we got 5 kids i told my partner to go and make an appearance on our behalf as I couldn’t attend because I had the kids. I would have loved to go but just couldn’t do it with all the kids...

My partner leaves at 9:30am for the reveal (it’s an hours drive) he didn’t have any money for alcohol and said he wouldn’t be drinking he would be there for it have some food then come home as being In a house al day on a Saturday wjth 5 kids is horrible.

So fast forward to this morning 8:30am and he’s just walked in the door. Literally covered head to toe in dirt (it’s out Bush) anyway just so disappointed in him.

I didn’t hear from him since lunch time yesterday .

He literally walks in the door and our 8 month old baby starts smiling for him - he then starts talking to me like everything is fine completely ignoring the fact that he didn’t even come home let alone contact me once! He notices I wasn’t talking to him and he says to me “what’s wrong what did I do?”

Is this normal behaviour of a partner/ father? He doesn’t even contact me to see how me and the kids are or to even let me know his plans or what he’s doing. I could never leave my family or partner at home and have him questioning what I’m doing for 24hours. So upset with him right now. This isn’t what I want in a man and just don’t know what to do....
