Do you/did you take popularity into account when choosing a baby name?
As an Ashley born in 1986 when it was the 2nd most common girls name in the United States, I was one of four Ashleys on my college dance team of 16 girls. I hated never being the only Ashley in my class.
Do you take name popularity in to consideration?
Our top two names include one very common (top 20) boy’s name that’s a family name for us and one way less common name (ranked about 95) that’s just a name we love.
