Leaving home without saying anything rude or no?

Is it rude to leave the house without saying anything to your husband/wife/SO? 
We’re talking like you’re going somewhere in your car or leaving for a long walk or going to the neighbors for a few hours, not getting the mail.

I think it's good to let the other person know. Not asking for permission, just saying "hey I'm going to the neighbors".

I don’t know if I’d say rude or not rude... it’s common curtesy. I always let my husband know if I’m leaving (so he doesn’t look for me...) and he does the same.

It depends on what the other person is doing or what I’m going to do. Usually I’ll just yell that I’ll be back soon and head out.

I got really upset with my husband last week for stupid sh%# and I was childishly giving him the silent treatment. he was in the bathroom when I was leaving for work, and I was so tempted to just walk out the door but I couldn't do it. I knocked, he said yea, I said bye, and then I left. It's a respect thing I think.

I think if you’re living in the same household you should give a shout-out that you’re leaving the premises. I think once children are involved, whether you’re taking them with or leaving them behind with the other parent, a shout out is a must.
