How do y’all cook boneless steak?

Question

I need to do it in the stove. I don’t have a cast iron skillet though. How can I make it good? I don’t eat meat so I don’t know how to cook it. 
I know I need to let it sit out for like 30 minutes and then season with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. And then let the oil in the pan get smoking and then put it on for like 4 minutes each side? I don’t have a temperature reader. Help!

I use a regular pan on the stove, not cast iro. Let it heat up. Add a little pan. Let the steak sit out to warm up then season with salt. NO pepper as it will burn and please no steak seasoning, yuck. Just salt. Now depending on how rare you like cook on high for 5 to 7 minutes. Then add 5 slices of butter and saute the steaks in the butter, keep flipping. Check the pink, once at desired pink, put on plate and eat. Remember just salt and butter. It will melt in your mouth.

You don't bake it, you broil it. Your oven probably only has high and low broil. You choose which one based on if you want the steak more or less done.  If you haven't bought the steaks I would do a london broil instead, myself.  A lot harder to over cook (but not impossible). Google "How to broil a steak".

My mom puts salt and oregano on it and lets it in the fridge till the next day (it makes it more tender) and she then just puts oil in a pan and cooks it!
Honestly try it only with salt and oregano, don’t put anything else on it, just once to try it and you will LOVE IT! 😄

Try adding minced garlic and onion on the skillet with your oil for extra flavor
