Often UTIs

I get utis somewhat often and when I go to the doctor they always say my nitrates and leukocytes are very high, but when they do a culture it always comes back negative. Antibiotics make my symptoms go away. My doc has recommended that I just try and wait out the next one. Has anyone had similar experiences or have tips for me?
