Not sure if newborn has a cold.....

A

FTM here and I just gave birth July 3rd. After I had my baby we had an infection and high fever but before you know it we were slowly getting better. We’ve finally been home for 5 days now and it’s been very tiring so far because I’m also only breast feeding.

My baby sleeps in his crib next to me so every time he cries I pick him up and feed him in my bed. I’m constantly slouching and bending forward which sends a burning sensation towards my back ( I got epidural). So I’ve been doing research on cosleeping with baby. I tried consleeping with him last night and what I read was that your not suppose to have them wraps or any blanket on them when breast feeding lying down because if SIDS things went great. Today I tried doing the same thing, no blanket I was undressed waist up, he wore a beanie, a warm full onesie that covered his arms to his toes, and mittens. We both fell asleep but when I woke it was pretty cold. My room is usually warm. We probably slept for at least 30-45 min. I’m just worried he may have a cold and I don’t want it to worsen. He just sneezed and coughed twice and sneezed again. othee than that I haven’t seen anything out so far I am going to monitor him for fever.

Was wondering if anyone’s newborn has ever had called and what was the outcome and how long did it take for it to go away on its own?
