I had just turned 12 when this happened. Neither of the other two girls in my class had started their period. I was the first. I went to school feeling ashamed. I didn’t talk to the other two girls, but I talked to my guy friend. He knew. ( He’s a year older than me) My mom thought it was just a fake period and that it was induced by my meds. ( I knew it was real. I had cramps that felt like a knife.) The only one who understood was my guy friend. ( I’m so grateful for him and hope one day to be his girlfriend. ☺️ He’s already started hinting. ☺️) Now that it’s a couple years later my mom still thinks the same. But I’m so grateful for him and a few other people who are always there for me. ☺️
