I'm going on the depo shot for the first time due to having a baby about 4 weeks ago (the doc won't put me back on bc pills) and i was wondering what others have experienced while on it, how long does it take before it starts working and How effective has it been for other people? I was on the pill for 7 years.

#update: What about an IUD? how is that and compared to cervix checks (would say birth but I was about of it i didn't actually feel it) what would you say is the worse out of comparison?
