First off, let me state that I'm not transgender, I am married to a transgender. We have been together for more than a decade, and I have faced the worst kind of people right beside her.

Dreath threats, dehumanizing comments, people thinking she's a pedophile, or that she just wants to see womens lower regions in the bathroom, everything. These comments don't just land on her, I have been accused of having a child so my "pedophile freak" can have something to play with. I'm also terrified of my son starting school in the fall for obvious reasons.

So if you have any questions, please ask. I will not be offended, and neither will she. I would love for people to be more educated about this, because without that education and eventual acceptance, we'll continue to see what has been done to us in stories about other people.
