HSG????

Has anyone ever had a hsg done before? And how did it go??

Take some Tylenol before you go. They told me it'll be uncomfortable that it'll feel like a pap. I've never had a painful pap so I thought it would be no biggie. It was very painful for me but I found out I have half a uterus so that is I'm assuming why it was painful. But the good thing is it's over very quickly and I'm glad I had it done it was definitely worth it because now I'm pregnant!

I had mine today and it was nothing like I thought it would be. Putting the forceps in and finding my uterus was the the painful part  the rest was a walk in the park just a little cramping with the dye coming through my tubes but nothing excruciating. I did take 800my of ibuprofen so that may have helped . The dye went the one tube fine and no problem but the other didn't go right away buy as the radiologist injected more of the dye it finally went though! Thank God . I was about two cry when he said we'll Atleast you have one good tube that's great. That's a good thing. But then he said there it goes it's coming through the other side. I was relieved. After it was all over I just had some cramping and a little spotting but nothing too major. I still have some soreness or maybe it's mild cramping but hopefully it goes away soon.

I have my Hsg test the first week of September but before then my period is day 25&26. Now after Hsg till now l am still waiting for my period l have done more than 10 pregnancies home test and all is saying negative and I am 11 days late for my period. Been trying to conceive for 3 years now. I pray to God l am really pregnant.

I just had mine today it wasn't that bad yes there was definitely pain when they inflated the ballon and injected the dye mild cramping after but just like period pains. Both my tubes were open so not sure if it differs when one or both are blocked. I've not had much bleeding either few spots but nothing more.

It's a great time to practice your breathing techniques, for sure. The balloon part actually didn't bother me that much, but the dye gave me REALLY bad cramps. That being said, if you keep breathing slowly, you can get through it. I kept telling myself that it's NOTHING compared to labor, and I was doing it because I wanted a baby so badly, so what's a little discomfort? :)

Had mine this morning.  Both my tubes were clear. It was painful for me, cramping, little bleeding after and still alittle mild cramping and Dr. Prescribed antibiotics for the next 3 days.  Goodluck!
