So I went on vacation and didn’t bring my water flosser

After a week or two, my back teeth hurt like hell when I chewed. Went to a doctor said food got stuck and my gums in my back teeth area swelled, infected? I think and he prescribed pills for 3 days. Had the pills brushed my teeth after I ate but the pain came back the day I stopped eating the pills and I’m going back home in a day and I have an appointment with my dentist soon. Has this happened to anyone? Plz help. And plz don’t hate me for not flossing I know it’s my fault for not bringing my flosser
