Is jail/prison time harder on the one sentenced and being incarcerated or for all the loved ones left to try to live life outside without them?

Both & I had to learn that because I like to feel like I’m the only one going through it but He is too and it’s even harder because you have a man who can’t be a man and provide and protect his family ...It’s hard

Honestly, it’s hard on both. S/O is constantly wondering what’s going on out here, if the family is ok, is everything being maintained, etc. For us, we are worried about EVERYTHING, from taking care of ourselves, to the kids, the bills and house, plus making sure they have money on their books and phone.
