Idk I need some advise. My son failed his MCHAT at 18 months. Early intervention came out. They said his cognitive was a bit beneath the requirements but not bad so they didnt go any further with it but he definitely has a speech delay so we qualified for speech therapy. Weve had two sessions of speech and hes done great! He now says about 9 words now. His attention span is getting better and hes looking more when I call his name and start to look when I point. HOWEVER something just doesnt feel right. He is 21months and he still struggles to look when called. Getting him to look at me is like pulling teeth. He hardly listens when I tell him no. He doesnt recognize TV show characters or our faces in pictures. He also does this thing and I honestly have no clue what triggers it but he will just run around the house back ans forth. He hums/grunts while he does it. I can only play with him for about 10-15 minutes before he is tired of playing with me and wants to run and hum. I feel like my son has more then just a speech delay. Another thing when we teach him word he never learns we teach him. Hes learning words hes just picking up. It's like he isnt listening. Idk should talk to my speech therapist and let her know my concerns.
