Did the vet fuse my dogs nipples????

Our foster pup just got fixed yesterday and I was checking the incision today to see this. I’m calling the vet first thing in the morning for a few reasons but am I crazy?

Answer

No. That's a burried knot- which is supposed to be there. Its the suture that's holding her body wall together and so she doesnt chew the knot it's burried. Make sure you follow your discharge instructions though because infections can happen so be on the lookout for that. The faster you start treating an infection the better. But initial irritation and inflammation is normal.
