Follipian tubes? Hellpppp

Has anyone had the procedure where they shoot dye into the cervix and take an X-ray to see if your Fallopian tubes are blocked? I will have this done at the end of my next cycle and I am super nervous I heard it hurts pretty bad but haven’t talked to anyone who has actually had it done!!

they are called HSG and when i got mine done i felt like i couldn't breath because it feels like the most horrible cramp ever! i bled for a bit after and felt a little cramping for a few hours but by the next day i was fine.. i did ball my eyes out when we got into the car though lol. take sone Tylenol or somthing a bit before you get yours done.

I had 2 done and got pregnant that cycle both times-unfortunately i lost the second one. Take a few Tylenol before you go and relax. They are uncomfortable but once they deflate the “balloon” it’s not bad anymore. Keep your mind on the screen. It’s kinda fun to watch. You obviously want it to continuously flow throw and spill out-keep an eye out for and spots that seem to take even just a part of a second longer to pass through. Good luck!!!

I haven't had it done, but I have had an IUD inserted and can attest that opening the cervix and putting things in the uterus does hurt while it's happening. Depending, the pain may or may last afterward. (Getting it in hurts the rest of the day, taking it out doesnt). Of course that procedure may be different.

i did! it was pretty uncomfortable during the procedure, but it didn’t last too long and I did spot a little afterwards. I ended up getting pregnant right after the test and have a happy, healthy 2 year old!! Good Luck!!

Thank y’all so much! I’m 24 and for
Pregnant with my first and only he is 5 and it was so easy it was a one time thing that turned into me getting pregnant (which was the best thing that happened to me god definitely knew what I needed!) but now I’ve been through everything I have PCOS so they have tried metformin, clomid, and now to the next step which is hsg! I know it’s all in God’s hands and his timing but it’s still so discouraging!
