It’s too casual. If it’s a cocktail (which isn’t too formal) then wear something over the knee but not this fitted everywhere: just cinched around the waist with a slightly thicker fabric. The colour suits you. Btw beautiful body! 😍

Looks a bit too casual in my opinion for a wedding but I guess it all depends on where the wedding will be and what the wedding theme is. If it’s gonna be elegant or casual? I’d send a picture to the bride and see how she feels about it maybe?

Okay the dress that you have is too casual and not dressy for a wedding. As a rule of thumb if you are the guest of the wedding and the dress code is cocktails  you will want to invest in a dress that is right for your body type  and look clean and polished. This is your chance to dress up and and wear your best heels. I’m going to include some pictures to give you an idea as to what to look for. If the bridal party is wearing green then they are the only ones to follow the dress code of colors. Also you will want to get the appropriate shape wear and underwear to finish off your look. Something light but not too heavy. And if you like you can get a nice clutch and earrings to polish off the look. Here are examples of a cocktail dress as a guest of the wedding:  I would also suggest going to your local retail store and ask one of the sales associates to help you out... they can also guide you in your shopping purchase and find a dress that is priced reasonably.
