I’m so confused..

So for the past three weeks I’ve been spotting on and off. It’s normally after sex and it comes with external cramps. This all started happening a couple days after I went to the doctor to see if I have cyst on my ovaries(and I do have them) I’m just so confused why this is happening! The pain gets so bad that I feel nauseous, and a few days ago I actually threw up. Has this happened to anyone?
