Opposite sex as just friends?

I don’t really have an opinion. I just see a lot of posts asking what they should do because their boyfriend has female friends. My husband and I don’t have opposite sex friends for unknown reasons. A lot of our friends are couples and if they aren’t they are usually the same sex as us.

This mentality (that straight people can’t just be friends with the opposite gender) is absolutely bonkers to me. I’m bisexual, am I not allowed to have any friends at all? 🤷🏼‍♀️

My husband and I are like you. If we have friends it’s usually other couples or our own friends who are married. I don’t have any close guy friends and he doesn’t have any close female friends. When I was single I had several close guy friends but secretly I think they hoped we’d date someday. 
I like it this way, it’s much less drama and neither one of us feels like the other person is crossing a line or something.

My boyfriend and I don't have friends of opposite sexes. Hell we hardly even have friends in general, but this is just something we both see eye to eye on and agreed on at the beginning of the relationship.

My SO and I have friends of all genders and sexual orientations lol. I don’t see the problem if 1) you trust your partner and 2) you’re also friends with them. At this point, his friends are my friends! His female friends have always been extremely welcoming to me and we’ve gotten close

I have more guy friends tbh but I’m closer to the girl friends I do have. I have more guy friends cause I’ve noticed there’s less drama there than with girls. Not to be sexist. There can definitely be drama with both, but that’s just how it is with my friend group. My bf has no problem with it cause we have the same friends as we were in drumline together.

I mean neither of us hang out or spend time alone with our opposite sex friends, but if he asked to/said he wanted to, I don't think I'd care, although in 4 years he never has. We both have opposite sex friends on social media and will occasionally text/message them. I don't see an issue with that.

My so doesn't have female friends, not because I don't "allow" it but because he doesn't want to hang out with other women. I don't have any male friends, not because he doesn't "allow" it but because of personal experience with every guy friend I ever had trying sleep with me. It works for us but each relationship is unique.

My SO isn’t friends with females that I’m not friends with. He’s a vet and works in the government so his ideals don’t mesh with the majority of the female population (so basically women aren’t fond of his beliefs or military personality). We’re good friends with couples that he works with. I however have had the same two male BFFs for 9 years and that doesn’t bother my SO. Those friendships have NEVER been anything more than legit friendships and I’ve never given any reason to make him distrust me either.
