manual breast pumps?

oppinions on manual breast pumps? im not sure if i want to try breast feeding this time arround so im thinking i could still express a little. i dont know much about breast feeding as bottle fed my 1st daughter so trying to get as much info as i can.  thankyou! x

I liked my manual pump for in the car or when I just needed to relieve some pressure. It’s definitely not something I would recommend for exclusively pumping though!

I waited way too long to buy one, and wish i had invested right away. Mine was only 30 bucks and was such an awesome thing to have. I used it in the car, since my other pump was electric. I used it in the middle of the night in bed, and first thing in the morning. it allowed me to pump more discretely if I couldn't find a private place. I recommend getting at least a cheap one in addition to the regular pump!

My hospital sent me home with a manual pump and I could only last a week or two before it became too much and I gave up. The manual pumps are a lot of work! I’d recommend a cheap, simple electric pump if you’re not fully committed. This time I’m planning to pump again so my sil is supposed to get me a hospital grade double electric pump.
