3yr old tonsillectomy

Alright this is gonna be a long one.......

So last Friday my son got his tonsils removed, and it has been hell since, we have had to take him the the ER twice, his dr once, because he was refusing to take meds, even spitting them out when given forcefully. He has only slept an hour to 2 hours here and there SINCE!!!! This boy is running off of NO sleep. When he does sleep he will wake up screaming no no no probably because he is having night terrors or sleep terrors if you will from hubby and I having to hold him down to take even some of his meds. We have tried bribery, mixing it, even fireworks that we had left over, all of our resources have been exhausted.

I literally don’t know what to do besides tranquilizing him. I’m not a bad mom but I am on edge and I have been for days. Let alone hubby and I haven’t had much sleep either. Have any other mommas had these kinds of problems when their littles has had their tonsils removed?? Did it get any better or did I fuck up by having him get them removed. He had them removed due to them being large and causing sleep problems.

Might add my husband has to go back to work Monday, he used up his vaca to stay with me this week cause I needed it after Tuesday, we also have a 9mo old little girl who is needing more attention, and my sil is of no help anymore. I just don’t know what to do.
